Lash Extensions FAQ
What are UV lash extensions?
Discover the benefits of UV lash extensions at Seed2Soul Beauty. This innovative technique uses a specialized UV/LED light to cure lash adhesive in seconds, creating a secure bond for beautiful, long-lasting lashes.
Benefits: UV lash extensions offer rapid adhesive curing, improved resistance to moisture and humidity, and the potential for better retention and fewer premature lash losses. The faster curing process also allows many clients to resume their normal aftercare routine sooner.
Things to consider: UV lash extensions require specialized adhesive and controlled light exposure. Clients with light sensitivity, certain eye conditions, or allergies to lash adhesives may not be suitable candidates. UV curing does not eliminate the risk of allergic reactions, and retention still depends on your natural lash growth cycle, proper application, and aftercare.
Our commitment: At Seed2Soul Beauty, your comfort and lash health come first. We use appropriate protective measures and assess client suitability before treatment to help you enjoy beautiful lashes with confidence.
UV vs regular lash extensions – what’s the difference?
Both UV and regular lash extensions can give you beautiful, full lashes. The main difference is how the adhesive cures.
UV method: Uses a UV/LED light to cure the adhesive in seconds. This can improve resistance to moisture and humidity, may help retention, and often lets you return to your normal routine sooner.
Regular method: Adhesive cures gradually with time and air. It’s a traditional, well-known method that still gives great results when aftercare is followed.
With both methods, retention depends on your natural lash cycle, proper application, and how well you care for your lashes. At Seed2Soul Beauty, we’ll help you choose the method that best fits your eyes, lifestyle, and sensitivity.
Can I wear makeup with extensions?
Yes, but stick to oil-free products and avoid waterproof mascara. Use a lint-free applicator when removing eyeliner.
How long will my lashes last?
Typically 2 to 4 weeks depending on your natural lash cycle and aftercare. We recommend refills every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness.
Is the UV lash extension method safe?
When used correctly, the UV lash extension method is designed to be safe and comfortable. The UV/LED light is focused on the adhesive, not directly into your eyes, and we use protective measures to shield the eye area during treatment.
However, UV curing does not remove the risk of sensitivity or allergic reactions to lash adhesive. Clients with light sensitivity, certain eye conditions, or known adhesive allergies may not be good candidates.
At Seed2Soul Beauty, we always assess your eyes, lashes, and history first, then choose the safest method for you. If you ever feel discomfort during or after your appointment, let us know right away so we can help.
